Happy Birthday Tom Alter
the actor would have been 72 today
The legendary Tom Alter - and for the oafs - that white guy who acted in Hindi films, would have turned 72 today. Born in Mussoorie, he was the son of an American Presbyterian missionary. Tom Alter was a big fan of Rajesh Khanna and despite that, he got along with Naseeruddin Shah [context] enough to set up a theatre company called Motley Productions - with Ben Gilani.
From whatever is publicly available about him - he was a thorough gentleman and a charming personality.
