Larry King help put CNN on the map. He interviewed everyone who mattered to the English speaking world on his show - Larry King Live. But that show ended in 2010 - and I wasn’t present to witness King in his prime. So why do I care.
Well - I love broadcasting and King is a bonafide legend. Also because I have greatly enjoyed watching (and rewatching) his appearances on late night talk shows.
Larry left us on January 23, 2021 after having to witness the deaths of his kids - Andy, at the age of 65 from a heart attack, and Chala at the age of 51, from lung cancer, in August last year within weeks of each other.
Here are the best of said appearances:
Especially watch the 3+ hour long compilation of the nineteen appearances King made on Craig Ferguson’s great late night talk show.
Oh! Yeah BTW - King’s last business venture was a production studio - Ora TV that was funded by once-richest man on earth - Carlos Slim.
He was a self professed agnostic, but if there is one - May God Bless him.
